Please do not discuss politics or religion unless it's EXCLUSIVELY regarding Kenshi. Disagreeing with one another on some topics is natural, but doesn't have to and shouldn't result in hostility or conflict from either side. Keep it civil, and generally be decent to other people. No racist, sexist, homophobic/transphobic, ableist (words that would offend those with disabilities), slurs, or otherwise derogatory remarks used with intent to offend or harm. 
The list goes on, but you've got to stay alive first. You can be a trader, a doctor, a peacekeeper, a business man, an explorer, or a mere slave.
